These unique models are produced using white metal castings, injection plastic castings, scale wood, etched brass, laser cut materials and other parts to give the most accurate model possible.
The Rio Grande Models line of HO, S, 1/4" (O) and 1/2" scale craftsman structures use laser-cutting technology, scale lumber, plastic, brass, and white metal detail parts as appropriate. These kits are as close to scratch built quality as possible with all the difficult parts supplied. Each and every kit includes custom manufactured detail parts appropriate for the specific prototype. These kits represent the state of the art craftsman quality. No finer quality product exists.

Super-detailing parts can help turn a plain structure into a realistic masterpiece. They can also make it easier to customize or modify stock cars into ultra-realistic replicas of prototypes. Add building details (doors, windows), steps and grab irons for rolling stock and even minute parts like individual nut/bolt/washer details. Use these products to improve your HO, S, and O models
Simpson Models decals are printed on ultra-thin decal material and have great strength and flexibility, enabling them to conform to irregular surfaces. Decals for Denver & Rio Grande Western (D&RGW) equipment are available in 5 different scales. They've been made from the original lettering shop drawings obtained from the Denver Public Library and Colorado Railroad Museum.
